    It's in no way a **** engine, they just shoulda turbocharged it from the factory. Mazda dropped a major bollock there. RX7 ftw tbh.

    yeah, well supercharged not turbo charged there like vtec's all the power above 6k till 9k, so a nice supercharger to help it get there quicker would be nice.

    But yes the rx7 is the better engine

    Because this engines don't last too long, they all die at 60.000 miles tops.
    They are very sensitive on fuel, they need to be switched off with revs, etc.
    Every RX8 in Mazda Croatia where my mate works had a new engine fitted in the guarantee period.

    Nothing like a VTEC - a VTEC has some 'go' above 6000rpm, these are a load of wankel (see what I did there?).

    They do look nice though

    15mpg is alot better than the pulsar fuel consumptions plus it is more realistically 20mpg

    My mates just blew after a whopping 20k miles!!
    Crap engines IMO. They are very sexyfull cars tho.

    my friend had a vxr and that blew within 3000miles, he got a new one on warinty but thats not the point, any engine can blow at anytime, im sur ethere have been many punto gts which have blown within 20k miles
