Why would the exhaust cause blew smoke? It has no working parts. Its a hollow metal tube.
Thoughts on this? Im considering buying a Fiat Coupe however dont know much about them. Previously owned a Fiat Punto GT3 Turbo tho, so have some idea of what to expect in terms of maitanance. This one almost has a FSH, has had a full service inc cambelt, waterpump and brembo service. Clutch has been replaced too. The owner says theres a tiny bit of blue smoke upon start up-he reckons its to do with the exhaust as he assures me it holds boost well and temperture runs spot on. Any advice would be appreciated.
The lowest he will take is £2500.

Don't act so uneducated Rich, the 20VT's have a nasty habbit of blowing the turbo seals when they are fitted with a decat, which i'm sure is included with a blueflame.. But that wouldn't make it smoke on startup.
More likely to be the valve seals that need replacing, which TBH is quite a big job on them due to the lack of room to get the top half off.
Yup i know that, just what the owner said tho. No i havent, just thought i would post up on here before i registered on another forum as i know a few members on here have owned one at some point.
Ive just recently sold my Honda Accord Type R, then had a 206 gti briefly for two weeks, sold that now want something a bit more interesting again. My 3 conteners are a Lexus is200, fiat coupe 20v (turbo or non turbo) and an Alfa Romeo GTV v6.
What's your budget for any of the above?
Around £3k.
Heres the links to the cars im considering.

The owner has also said its only a small amount of blue smoke, once heated up it goes away.
