    golf mk3 VR6 1996

Are these any good? i got one coming around to night to see if i want to straight swap for it.

will it be as quick as my seb0 gt? see below for mods
any bad points to look at especially?
I have heard bad things about the cam chains letting go early apart from that are they ok.

any idea quite how bad on fuel they are? i heard 18-33mpg depending on driving and what speed you sit at on the motorway.to me it sounds around the same as my gt!!

Yeah not lightening quick as standard despite the large engine, mk3 is a tank too.

Sound good though on the upside.

It wont come with in the cheaper road-tax bracket mate??? Ok nice cars the VR6 (I was offered one last month for 400 quid) but surely the GT has ten times more fun factor...

    VR6 ftw!

My dad owns one. Best car he's ever had. Sounds amazing, and is capable of beating a Punto GT. I only know cus my dad raced a white GT once and beat it, even though he was struggling to get grip!

The normal VR6 is slow as a panzer tank.

I do like the look of the mk3's they hold there value quite well iirc.
