    Mk4 golf 1.8 turbo?

    Whats peoples thoughts on these? Anyone know much about them? See them goin for 3000-3500 on autotrader with between 60k and 80k.
    I really like them. Was thinkin either one of these or a stilo, cant afford the abarth tho.

    the stanard one is only 150 bhp which aint alot for such a heavy car. they do a limited edition one which had a 180bhp, but with a few mods and a chip 220bhp can been seen and with a bit more work and money 300bhp is poss

    An overweigh German Tank with no power. And one notoriously lacking engine IMO

    cant be that bad, not lookin for break neck speed, just nice power and for cruisin up the motorway in.

    As an everyday warmish hatch (by todays standards) they do the job well. The standard suspension won't thank you for throwing it round corners though. Surprising amount of bodyroll for the type of car.

    I wouldn't believe anybody that says VW's are problem free but the bodywork is fairly well made.

    Get the cambelt done soon as you get one. Otherwise not as harsh and would be good as a motorway cruiser.
