They're a bit old hat now - any particular reason why you want one, or is it just personal preference? And have you not considered an R5, they're quicker, more tunable (just!) and from the same era

for me the renault and rs are a bit dated no pas or 4 wheel abs with disc.. They do fetch silly money though.. Id go with rs personally as they handle well when dropped my mate had one with 220bhp was rapid and handled like on rails

yeh that looks the bollax. 4k max for me though. either or, if a nice series 1 comes available then i would consider it, but i do like the series 2 in red, mercury grey and white.
and no i dont want an r5. thats more dated to me than an rs. ive always liked the escort rs.
go for a series one mate less common than th s2`s and more classy, pincess diana had one for f*** sake lol. th only thing with s1`s are there less reliable than the s2`s alot of my mates have got rst`s and they are alot of fun, u wont be disapointed with one, jus dont rush into buying one there are more dogs than mint ones out there.
