Any suggestion how?
I think it should be made more clearly that new members should use the search button a little more with starting new threads as a last option.
Thanks
Any suggestion how?

ill incorporate something into the welcome letters lol.
cud u not have a pop up that wud say-
Have you searched before creating this thread?
Similar to the pop up for pm read requests??
Or wud that just get annoying? Or just make it for people with 50/100 or wotever posts or less?
That would get annoying as hell!
Good idea but cant see how it would be implimented!
Its a difficult one. Yesterday was particularly bad.
We have all done it, we want answers now instead of looking.
I guess the only way, maybe is look at the the top 5 most asked questions in each section and make them stickies, ie wheel size, PCD and off set, Turbos, FMIC sizes and what is needed erm and anything else.
I dunno, just a thought.
I was thinking of something like this, just for new members who have less than 100 posts get a popup reminding them if they have searched before writing the new thread. So many new users start new threads that could have been solved so easily, if they looked abit harder or put a bit more effort into what they were trying to do.Originally Posted by ben_ward2oo5
Cats idea seems like a good one!
No idea how practical it is or how it could be worked, but a top 5 most asked questions/threads for each section sounds like a plan...but would be even better if it was dynamic so it would change automatically!
Only way I can see it workign though is if all the thread titles were the same!
