Look what I had a go in today!

A guy who comes into Halfords lots for but for his kit car. I sold him loads of items for it and said when its done he must bring it in.

    Well he did!
Its using a Yamaha R1 Engine. The scary thing is its only 480kg!!!

I'm not a fan of the Welsh Flag but other than that, what a toy!
    Cost him about £9k

the engine sounds fantastic. Hit around 60 mph @ 5ooorpm but its how fast it got there that was amazing. Its only just been made so the guy wasnt really pushing it as he needs to get to know it better as it relly could bite your hand off if you not carful!

The sound of it was just fantasic. Being only 480kg and with an R1 I wouldnt like to guess what the top speed is. Super car fast!

You'd think he'd have put some proper tyres on it.

nice but not as fast as youd imagine. that car weighs over twice as much as an R1 plus a driver thats bout 3 times as much.

not slating it but bike engined cars aint as mental as youd imagin as they have such poor torque, id rather a 200bhp K20 or K series, just as light but better use of power.

    very nice looking thing tho.

No i understand as a bike motor will not have the touque. If it was me I would have used a K series 1.8 VVC lump (160bhp - 175 Nm) or a cosworth YB lump

But still the noise it creates!
Cheers guys I will pass on all your good words to the owner
