I stopped offering to upload avatars because of the bandwidth issue. What I am going to do is remove all the avatars I currently host, and people will have to find alternative hosts and link to them.
I will give everyone until the end of this week to find a new home for their avatars - then they will be gone!
That should hopefully solve the problem of people using someone elses avatar!

bandwidth to the server would be high if the avatars are being pulled off its webspace, but cos they're now going to other hosts its all down to the users now, and cos they would be downloading them anyway, it just so happens they'll be from different sources, in the words of the great wise one happy gilmore "who gives a ****!"
by the way, ive uploaded all current avatars to my server, and if more people want their avas or sigs hosted then send them to me by email cos i got more bandwidth than mental issues.
