same as it melted mine to so i went to powerflow for a 3inch roled

I didn't want a visable tailpipe as I would need to cut the bumper.
As you can see by this picture..
The tailpipe sticks out just below the bumper. So far so good, it hasn't melted anything as its far enough away.

Is this just a quick fix or are you keeping it like this?
I was told a fingers gap between the tailgate and bumper will be plenty to stop melting.
Mine is done like that and is fine, has never damaged the bumper.

I didn't use any, as my mate did it.
It is stainless steel weld AFAIK, but I know nothing about welding.
I don't care how pretty it looks as you can't see it. I just wanted it to hold the tailpipe on and it does that perfectly.
