    Bravo v 1100cc Bike

    This morning i had a 4 mile race with an 1100cc bike. As you know I drive a 1.6 16v 100bhp Bravo.

And you wont beleive it, I won

To be fair to the bike he was on my favourite back road and it has lots of twistys

I left him in the bends but on the straight he was on me like a shot.

Shame for him there was way to many bends

What a result for the Fiat though, couldnt believe it

Id just assume the biker was just commuting home and didnt realise he was in the race of his life.

If the biker wanted to they'd just overtaken you and gone.

not always the case on the twisties james, i've had to back off hitting a ducati 996 whilst having fun in the derbyshire dales, before getting my pants royally pulled down and shafted on the straights

and he was trying, as he kept twisting round and checking that i was gone

Again probably not a good rider.

Ive only had about one meeting with a bike on not particularly sporty bike in the Elise and me going for it on a road I knew for 20 years he was still with me all the time, the bends just are straightened out. We were doing 80-100 the whole way on this road where a punto feels scary at 60.

i think your right woth some comments. he was prob a poor rider and maybe didnt knoe the road, yes he was racing as he was hammering past cars behind me on the straight before the bends.

At the end of the road he pulled along side me and shouted somthng like ''that was quick''

Hard to tell as he had a helmet on.

One thing about his riding was on every bend he backed right off. So by the time I went through it he was miles behind me. But soon as there was a straight he was on my ass looking for a place to pass. But everytime he got near it was another bend and he had to back off.
