I assume if you fit an oil cooler, it shouldn't be an issue, obviously you will need to add more oil too.
Hello it's been a long time since I've been on here and since then the punto has changed loads, but this winter it's speed related tasks first of all I shall say that yes I run NOS on my mk1 55 1.1 sx and because of this I am in need of installing an oil cooler, I have one from a showgun but what do I need to make it work, as been told by a friend if I put an oil filer sandwich plate on. Will loos all oil pressure? Will post some pictures up soon of my punto for you all
Thanks

Yer I thought all I need is an oil cooler plus some pipe work and an oil filter sandwich plate and off I go, but then was told I will have no oil pressure? I've owned ,y car for nearly 5 years now so its time for some more power
installed an oil coolier on the track car and , yes all i did was fit sandwich plate, pipes and cooler, thats it! no loss of oil pressure (and my pipes are really long!) thrashed on many track days and all ok!
Why would you loose oil pressure lol??
You may want to get a thermostat for the oil cooler with it only been a little engine which doesn't create more heat, don't want that oil being kept too cold!!
It's only a small oil cooler 5 row, the engine will be pulled out at some point this winter to stop all the oil leaks lol and hopefully if I can get one pop a p75 cam in
