NETWORKING HELP!
im a bit hazy on networking - last time i did such a task was the days of novell netware!!
just setup a xp pro machine which is replacing a workstation in an office.
how do i configure this workstation to logon to a domain when it starts up? do i need to be in the office, plug in the cable and xp will find the network itself, or do i need to enable it?

You need to add it to the Domain,
Right click on the My Computer icon on the desktop,
select properties. Then select the 'Computer name' tab and then there should be a 'change' button. Click this and then select the 'Domain' radio button. Type the name of the domain and press enter. You then need to supply an account with admin right or right to add machines to the domain. It may take time to authenticate and then it should ask you to reboot the PC

Punto know it all
did it work?
you'll need an ip address first, so ensure you either have a valid static or dynamic.
