id connect it back up with a sensor as it surely wouldnt pass an mot on emmisions without it
Hi all.. I've got a 1223 lambda fault code on my gt1. After looking into it, i noticed there was'nt a lambda sensor fitted to downpipe and no cat fitted either! (just bought the car) after tracing the wiring from the ecu, i found that the two plugs which would normally be connected to the lambda harness have just been connected together?! Anyone seen this before?? I think i'm gonna fit a lambda and a cat. Any help would be great. Merry xmas!

had the same thing on my one gt1 many moons ago would be best off putting a cat back on for now or even fitting a gt3 down pipe and putting the sensor on that if you want to keep the decat on
I've got a spare gt1 with lambda fitted to downpipe so will fit it tomorrow and see if it still faults! The downpipe on my gt1 has no hole for lambda? I can't see why the previous owner would remove but i'll let you know how it goes.. Cheers guys
gt1's had lambada in the cat gt3 in down pipe
Fitted downpipe with lambda and all good. Gt1 have lambda in downpipe not cat, fact.
really!!!! if you say so
Lampy is right, gt1s had the lambda in the cat and gt3s were in the downpipe.
I had the same problem as you so i drilled a hole in the downpipe and welded a nut on for the lambda to screw into.
Sorry to bump in but where is the lambda meant to be on a GT2?
Same as GT3 : Downpipe
