The arrows on the sills are the tie down points, do not jack it up there.
I'd either do it on the subframe or the axle, as in my opinion there's not really a good place to jack a Punto up.
Please could anyone advise where to jack up the Punto GT.
Portor's manual says on the transaxle or on the sills indicated on the arrows
I'd like to know where the transaxle jacking point is exactly.
thanks

yes the marking on the side skirts mark where you want to put the fiat jack - it slots over the sill and sits in the grrove on the scissor jack. ive never used a trolley there - i get it off the ground here first then put the trolley jack somewhere solid like the beam or front subframe.
i used to think that there were some additional jacking points (those welded on fabrications underneath with the holes in them) but ive never used them to jack the car up. i crushed one of them up a bit on one of my other cars yet they do look like proper points.
transaxle - well thats the gearbox casing basically but you wont get a trolley jack under it as the car will sit too low. you need to raise it so far with a jack on the side then you can get clearance to rasie it higher with a trolley but use a piece of decent wood to spread any load though or youll put the trolley jack through your gearbox.

I've put a hole in the rear footwell before using a trolley jack on those stupid strapping points! Where the arrows on the side skirts point to should be fine as long as your sills aren't rotten lol
and you use the fiat jack with that slotted piece of metal in it.
use the wrong type of jack and it could still damage either side of the sill "lip".
Its a punto, all sills are rotten.
It all depends how low your car is, and what you want to gain access to.
There are various options, depending upon how much load and how high you need to lift it:
Anti-roll bar brackets, front subframe, suspension arms/pivot points, rear subframe, suspension beam, arms and pivot points. Scissors jack at indicated points just to raise the side enough for a trolley jack, etc. Engine and/or gearbox mount arms. Load-spreading flat block of wood, with optional sill seam slot, on top of a trolley jack's head.
If I want side access I jack on arb brackets. Front end up on gearbox
I use the ARB points too. Rear I use bottom of the rear shock the put a stand on the axle.
