Hey im not sure on the price, but im pretty sure cabriolets in general are quite high insurance, check on parkers insurance see which group it is and u will get an idea. im gunna make a guess it will be around 1700-2000
hey everyone. Am a 17 year old wanting to buy a punto cabriolet 90ELX. and one has come up for sale close by. The only problem being it has a 1.6 litre engine, so how much do you think insurance will be or does anyone know what insurance group it is?
thanks
James

At 22 on a 1.2 16v mine was £700 odd, Fully Comp. Good luck
when new i think the 90cab was ranked in group 7, though haven't classifications shifted a little lately?
not just the engine contributes to the risk - its a fabric roof, older car (less secure - did it even have immob as standard?) and, of course, your age counts against.
i know what waiting can be like, but it may be best to wait a little while - practice in something else for a couple of years?
i'd be amazed if you get a quote less than £2500 - if at all...
lowest quote i've got atm is 2 grand as i found out its insurance group 9 so might just be worth gettin a sporting which is insurance group 7.
I've just been quoted £350 for a seatbelt on my punto cabriolet 90 ELX by Fiat. Can anyone tell me where I can get one a lot cheaper?
Ummm... On here??
I'm sure mawb might have one, or shorty?
No breaker's yards round your way then?
Ive only gt belts but shorty should have cab belts avaliable.
