Looks nice mate !
Very nice indeed!
Saweet!
Would love to hear the Nurspec Andrew, only ever heard them on 5 and 6 GSRs running not much over 300hp, worried it would be abit too loud for me!?
So this is an FQ 360 MR yaar? Dont worry about the rods too much, they can go at any time, personally 'rod jobs' seem like make believe, abit like Halloween where the retailers behind it run with it to make sales. Going to be selling your engine anyway or using the bones for the upgrade?
Welcome to Team Evo anyway!
looks sh1t slow
thought you weren't picking it up til nearer xmas buddy
Tbh i dnt what to do with it leave just improve the handling?
or a drive in drve out norriss 2.2 job?
or just do a rod job?
Personally Andy I would leave it as it is for now, at least over winter, the last thing you need on wet, dirty, icey roads is even more power!
If I had any extra money to spend I would get some winter tyres on another set of wheels, and properly expolit the cars performance even out in the wank.
Theres alot of cost difference between a rod job and a full 2.2... And If I had the money for a 2.2 I wouldnt be doing a 2.2 I would be doing a 2.4 or maybe even a 2.6 just for the hell of it!
Rod job if you want between 420 and 500, full build if you want more than that... I mean everybody always wants more, but you should at least wait and see how you get on with it as it is! It'll pound most things on the road baring super expensive supercars.
I agree with Dan, unless you're wanting to do sprint days or hellish 1/4 miles I would just max out the turbo, 430ish then go and kick it's face in and keep the reliability! If you still want more power than that on the twisty roads then you're not driving it hard enough
I've been running 420 for nearly 2 years with no engine troubles and 390 a year before that, I wouldn't worry about the IX engine at that level!
Is it a 360?

You only do 40miles a month Si and all of that is driving in and out of the garage
He is bang on though, serious high perfomance reliability, but you know this! Mines been close to or over 400/400 for about 2years too and I have driven it about 20k miles like that, all over the UK thrashing the lanes and plenty of motorway miles, to LeMans twice and via Holland as well as off road, in the snow and even into a kurb lol!
