pmsl @ the doris lol, only thing i can think of is maybe get the replacement screen from ebay and then work alongside a instruction video on youtube, thats what we did when i broke my dsi

Had a look and the cost of parts isnt cheap by the looks, think its best she registers it on the gadget insurance with the bank account, and then claim in 4-5weeks etc.
It still works, but looks shite....
Ive dropped, kicked stood on my 3GS endless times and it hardly shows any wear after 18months.
I know you can pick up replacement screens for like £10 on ebay. how hard they are to fit is a different question though!
I've got the same issue, except mines insured. Rang O2 to claim and they want £100 excess. Needless to say im not doing it lol
