Sr20det bottom ends are the nuts, and no one can say different. Considering they are 197bhp standard and have been proven to run well over 400 on standard engines. I'd you can get an import 180sx with redtop sr20. They have slightly more power and no NCS.
I had an s13, actually 3.
I had more turbos blow than bottom ends give up.
oil feeds to the turbo need to get changed to good one.
bottom end shells not hard to change and if you look after it with decent oil, mine never went again.

Nowt wrong with the sr20det's on the 14,14a & 15. the CA18det on the other hand tend to spin shells.
I've had 2 s13's and a s14 silvia k and are by far the most reliable cars I've owned. The sr20 lumps are bulletproof. Ca18 lumps are alittle bit more problematic
