wiper motor....?

so i was driving home tonight, and started hearing a deep knocking noise that sounded like it was coming frmo the engine bay, so i got out the car, and was a high pitched ticking sound, so i drove home, and then had a better listen to it, and it was coming from the wiper motor?
which i dont know why it would be ticking, but wipers still work :/

any ideas?

ticking or is it knocking with the revolutions of the wipers?

Carry on using it till you fed up with the noise or till it packs up, then buy a second hand unit
