regarding plans for the punto, i was just hoping to keep it on the road as long as i can.
readers of my 2007/08 posts may remember i bought her with only 24K on the clock, from a local lady who'd had it since new and panicked when i went over 40mph !
little work has needed to be done, but given her age (12 years) i didn't complain when i had to replace the exhaust.
both window winders failed, i've replaced one at enormous expense - £160 at a local garage.
i get a full service every year, acceleration is superb, oil is still fresh yellow whenever i look at the dipstick.
but i have no garage so she's out in the highland weather all year round. driving with the roof down is just pure pleasure.
the car is a great drive.
mileage has doubled to to 50K now after three years [we have another car we use for long-distance journeys].
she needs new
wheel cover to replace the originals still in place but looking tatty, advice on this would be welcome.
or should i replace the wheels with alloys?
