Not worth the hassle of going to the cashpoint that. Only thing worth anything on it these days is the intercooler, elbows and turbo. Possible the head if you're lucky enough not to have a cracked one. You might shift the exhaust too if you're very, very lucky.

If it runs with no funny noises and don't overheat/smoke i would give him £250 and expect to spend up to £500 max on sorting it,then you know what's been done on it,some people buy these with tax/mot and then spend £1,000s on them again adding more bit's.But that's up to you.

Or you can buy my near to immaculate 96 Sporting 1.6 Dan ,its without MOT and tax at the mo but have the most confidence it will pass through with relative ease so be happy to give it a yrs ticket .If you are interested give me the nod just want it to go to a good home
