Just leave it out would be the simplest thing.
Only thing is it will need the shaft balancing then tho

And tbh I'm doing this little build on a budget just to show thy it can be done so far Iv only spent £60 on it and that is on the turbo, vac lines, t2 flange with custom adaptor to standard manifold and recirculating dump valve and oil tpiece for oil feed
I only need oil return brazing into sump
Braided oil feed
Boost pipes
Intercooler
Exhaust system
Ecu
Rad
Water feed and water return
Air filter and that's it I think
Using trade discount and parts from other cars I reckon I can have it done properly but on a £400 budget excluding ecu
You need to think sensibly about it. 'I want, doesnt get' .... Forget wanting to make it look turbo'd prior to having everything you need, its the adult thing to do.
The rest is all on order ATM or just waiting to be ordered it should be ready to be put on in the next month bar the ecu as I havnt decided which one to use yet
what engine is it? And what turbo?
It'll be interesting seeing how much you CAN do it for. I tell everyone £2k minimum, but im aware if you get some good secondhand bargains...
If you want to learn, get a MS2-E setup. Otherwise get a DTA S40, its an absolute no-brainer. Easy to set up and use, software is free, and they have some very decent features.
Well it's a 800cc 6v 3 pot
I'm using a t2 off of a r5 but it has roller bearings fitted
I got it cheap to try
If it's too big then I can always use a gt1258 I think which is on the smart cars
I have had a quote for the ms2e but was thinking maybe something a bit cheaper as that is gonna cost more than the conversion itself
Obviously I'm not trying to be too cheap but realistically don't want to throwing loads into it
Also the thing that makes it cheap is the fact that I'm using the standard manifold rather than getting one made
By chopping the original flange off of the downpipe I can weld a t2 flange onto a short piece of exhaust pipe and put the triangle original flange on the other end
Easy conversion then just need a bracket making up to hold it all up
oh so something like extra fuelling like MF2 then.
T2 turbo is a bit big... better off with a GT1549. Either off an Astra TD (good powers) or Rover 45/75 TD (better powers)
Interesting to see how you get on with the T2 though, i want to see when it starts to make boost! Guessing 3000rpm lol
Yea I was thinking it was a bit big too but hey let's see what happens
I bet it's going to be a bit higher than that tbh but time will tell
