    Z3 1.8 to 3.2 help

    Need some help guys

I've been asked for help by a norweigan..... he, or rather his wife has a 1.8 BMW Z3.

He wants a bigger engine put in.... a 3.2 6cly from the M roadster....

Anyone know anywhere, reputable and with good facilities, that wouold do it?
Anyone know a rough cost for the engine, or work?

Basically where, and how much for engine/g-box swap, brakes, susp etc etc

Also..... has there ever been a 4cly 'M' engine? I think that was only the Italian market E30 M3 wasnt it? Would that go in

BMW forums that may be of use???

Trade it in at BMW and get yourself a 2.9 Z3
    0-60 in around 6.7s IIRC

Must be cheaper than a transplant...

    1) it aint me
    2) there is no 2.9 Z3
    3) he isnt wanting to 'buy' another car... cars are so expensive over there and the tax when importing makes it pointless.... IT WILL BE CHEAPER getting a new engine in....

If it really isn't any cheaper to just chop it in for the 6 cylinder Z3 then get hold of that engine and slap it in.

The only 4 cylinder was the E30 M3, there was a 2.0 4 pot screamer for the Italian version, although IIRC this wasn't actually an M car, something like the 320is instead.

if he has the money for shipping, I'd look no where else than:

    www.bavariacars.com.au

that is if he has the money for a proper car though.
