Hi everyone,
This is kind of image/picture related.
Out of the Canon EOS 1000D
and the Nikon D3000.
What one is the better camera?
as i would like to buy a new one, and want to choose out of either of these 2.
Or one of the same value. it has to be from argos though as i want the 6 month buy now pay later lol

cheers mate, im going for the canon. went to jessops and the canon is alot better. its alot like the 450D and the 400D, only a few small differences for the price.
I'll sell you my 450D for £350??
I think i want a 5D, but its spenny, may go for the new 60D!!!
Too late dan, already got an argos card and a EOS D1000 coming on monday.
i purely wanted one from argos because of the buy now pay later option.
Your offer seems like a bargain though. if i had £350 cash i would of had it i reckon.
If you ever have any lenses etc for sale then pm me, i might be interested in having stuff off you.
Would mind knowing how you get some of the effects you get on pictures you take, as im new to the Dslr cameras, so its going to be a big, but fun learning curve.
cheers
Search through the threads ive made in the images section, when ive posted pictures up. Often give away techniques there. If there is anything you need to know just start a thread in techno section or something.
1000D, a great place to start!!
ok mate cheers, il have a look.
Yer, i had a look in jessops and handled the nikons and the canons, i dont know why but the canons have something about them that makes them feel and look better than other dslr's
iv ordered an 8GB card aswell, hopefully this should be big enough for me lol
First thing will be getting some pictures up of my zetec s. and having a play about with it.
ill get some pictures up when i get to have a play with it.
Just piss about and practice! Best way to learn.
Yeah i wasnt a fan of the Nikon's either. Its heads and tails though sometimes. Nikons can sometimes be a little better on cost but ultimately Canon are the market leaders. you'll get the die hard Nikon elite saying otherwise but look at top sports photography, especially motorsport and they're all taken with Canon 1D mkIVs etc.
ah right, i suppose you get what you pay for at the end of the day. i see that lenses arent cheap lol, so ill be ebay hunting for them. What lense would you recommend? apart from the standard which i think will do for now. i wouldnt mind buying a good all rounder as an upgrade later on though.
The stock lense is a good all rounder.
Dont spend too much on a telephoto lense. I have a 70-300mm Tamron lense but with the frame multiplication factor it gives a real-term length of about 450mm which is mega far!!
Tripod is what you want to be buying first, id also suggest a cheap shutter remote too, couple of quid!
