Hi guys, I`m looking to get a GT in a little while so thought i`d register and look at the threads on `em as i`ve not owned one for over ten years. My old one was a 98 `R` in dark grey ( a GT3 i think). It was only 8 months old when i bought it and never quite ran right for ages. Found out the ECU was knackered but it was replaced on warranty and then an ABS sensor broke when some rope got wrapped round it and the offside CV joint exploded shortly after too so i guess i know what to expect and that was before the car was 18 months old.

Finding GT`s for sale is proving difficult in my price range as there doesn`t seem to be many up north where i am but i`m scouring the classifieds and ebay and the forums for anything decent.

If i can`t find anything i may go for a mk1 sporting 16v instead.

Anyway, thought i`d say hi.

Welcome along, you should be able to find something suitable and even the Sportings are great fun to drive. Hopefully, you've had your spell of Punto troubles, for a while.

Whats the reg of your old grey one? Never know it might have been on here at some point...

God, I can`t remember the reg! I think it had only 2 numbers after the `R` but thats all i can remember. Was a long time ago and i have a private plate i use now so i`ve forgotten virtually all the reg no`s of the upteen cars i`ve owned.
