Iirc, gtben with the clio works at vodaphone.
I lost my n95 8gb last august.
Found it today in the seicento engine bay (seicento has been standing for over a year!)
Obviously vodafone have blocked the phone as i reported it lost/stolen.
Powers up fine etc, but wont make calls texts etc (obviously)
Is there anything that can be done to activate it again? Or is it game over for the phone?

i think you can ring up vodafone no? quoting the imei number and have them unlock it for you
I dont reckon you can because what if it was stolen, that would meant he thief could ring up, quote the IMEI number and get it unlocked.
You normally put a password on for if you find it
If you ring up and quote it they will unblock it
You certainly can get it unbarred on o2 so I don't see why not.
Ring them up and ask them to remove the imei block.
So, if i were to find a stolen phone that had been locked, i could ring up, pretend its mine and get it unlocked?
No because there is a password on the blacklisting of it that you need to know to get it unlocked
No. There isn't a password but only the person who requested the block can lift it, via the network they imposed the block through. There will be a series of security questions to follow, as well as logical traces such as that phone previously been attached to the account etc...
If you claimed for a new phone via the insurance then technically you don't own the phone any longer so then you would need to take it to a phone shop and get it done that way
