Having a bit of trouble setting up a microphone with skype.
Trying to get it to work on my dads machine but skypes not recognising any input from the mic. In control panel it works, can see the bar moving when you talk etc but it won't work on skype for some reason?
Tried the obvious steps, re-installed skype, found the motherboard model and updated the audio driver and still nothing.
Sometimes skype recognises the microphone for about 10 seconds, but thats it.
Anyone had any similar problems or got any ideas?
Was thinking about getting a USB microphone but they're quite pricey and there's no guarantee that would work either.
Running XP SP3 if anyone wants to know
