You are wrong.
For full HD you need either the HDMI cable or the full RGB component lead. Not the Yellow lead. This one comes with both.

You need to flick the switch to HD TV and change the settings to 1080p.
Either that or your TV isn't as good as his

yeah done that but still not asd nice.. haha should be, decent brand 1080p compatible... i think it may be because my xbox is a phase 1 maybe, but i shall now stop spamming haha. feel free to delte these mate
I wouldn't worry about it anyway. Very few games actually play in true 1080p you know...They are just upscaled. And if you've ever seen an upscaled DVD next to a blu-ray/HD-DVD, you will know that upscaling is no substitute for the real thing. In fact, I think you'll be surprised at how many games don't even run at 720p natively.
Still got this.

you dont get full HD out of a component lead... that is not true. however The difference in performance between top-end component video cables and HDMI cables is negligent..
by rights a hdmi will perform faster as its allready a digital signal, where as a component lead has to be converted from analouge to digital at each end.
but there are quite a few different types of hdmi ports ( believe it or not.. ) they all use the same cable port how ever the newer versions display faster cleaner HDCP signals eg 1.3 compared to 1.1
THE ONLY WAY TO VIEW A TRUE HD PICTURE IS ON A 2 million PIXEL+ TELE WITH HDMI AND A PROPER HD SOURCE !!!!!!!!
- said this like a billion times on this forum
seriously guys you havent seen a HD picture untill you have seen a 2million+ one, there difference is unreal.
