I say it's for Beau, it's for anyone interested - just he likes his deutschwagons!

Only a short write up this one really. I'll make this the last one I do til someone else spends some quality time on a car of their own!

So this was on arrival..

Wheels were totally fubarred - they need refurbing really, but the owner's looking to sell the car, hence why it came to me!

You wouldn't believe it if I told you, but the bloke has been using acidic oven cleaner to clean these wheels

Interior was pretty rammy, and a bit unorganised..

So, it was only booked in for what I call a Protection Detail, and further instruction to clean the interior (not detail, just make it look pretty to the untrained eye).

The process carried out:

• Vehicle rinsed then snow foam applied to suspend dirt and left to dwell for 5 minutes.
• Wash the vehicle using the double bucket method.
• Wheels cleaned using non-acidic alloy wheel cleaner.
• Lower third sprayed with a non-caustic traffic film remover and then rinsed.
• Panel gaps, door shuts, and badges cleaned.
• Clay bar used to remove bonded contaminates from paintwork (inc door shuts and wheels).
• Vehicle re-washed and dried.
• Autoglym HD Cleanser applied.
• Autoglym HD Wax applied and carefully removed using plush microfibre.
• Door shuts waxed for added protection.
• Door seals and rubbers cleaned and protected.
• Interior glass cleaned.
• Exterior glass sealed using a water repellent.
• Tyres cleaned and dressed.
• Exterior plastics dressed.
• Stainless steel/chrome cleaned and polished.

Now I have access to a unit, as I have mentioned in other threads, so I chose to do this job over at Shinearama (also my supplier) mainly due to the cold and our garage being full. As "time is money" I didn't get chance to do any during pics, but Phil, the guy who runs Shinearama did take some of me in action and some pictures for his own purposes (I tested some new products for him on this job). He's going to forward those on I hope, so if he does I'll post them up.

For now here's the finished product.

You can see on the pic above, if you look at the nsf wheel, some sort of green substance - well, that's from the friggin' oven acid the owner has been using on them, it's lifted the lacquer!!

Some more afters from when I left the unit....

Tyres were dressed using Poorboys Natural Look rubber dressing.

I found out during this job that the drivers door had been repainted at some point and there was hardly any clearcoat on it at all - very poor finish, it was rough like sandpaper! You can see looking at that final picture, it's a different colour.

Hope you enjoyed reading.

Matt.
