They're gay
hey, i bent my 1.6e coupe( bent the subframe) and replaced it with a F7R subframe( 2.0 16v). trouble is the tracking is 20 degrees toeing in each side. took it to be tracked and the mechanic reckoned he couldn't get enough adjustment in the trackrods, reckoned there was the wrong wishbones on the car! But when i came to change the bones, discovered the bones were the same( i went to the scrappy and got bones from 6 diff meganes) and they were all the same. I bought 2 new wishbones and the rhs was 5mm longer than the lhs?
When i checked the trackrods, they were tight as f**k and i don't beleive they adjusted them, could this just be the problem? there is only 4 or 5 threads left on the trackrod, would that be enough to take away the 20 degrees toeing in? any advice/help would be much appreceated. thanks
yes your not wrong but that really doesn't help me
the suframe you have used is the wrong one you will need to use the other rack or get the proper subframe for it as the one you used is wider track car.
ok mate but a wider rack would make the problem worse as its toeing in. I need to shorten the track rods to sort the problem so the rack wouldn't help would it? cheers
as far as i can remember you need the rack and everything off a 2.0 one to make the tracking correct
cheers for the help mate, i tracked the car tonight with all the standard 1.6e stuff and 2.0 16v subframe and car is perfect!
