I am wanting to get an Ipod touch, just looking on E Bay to see prices and I see u can connect to the internet? How does that work.....do you have to pay or does it just connect to available Networks?

I don't have one, but i do know its Wi-fi, so available networks

that being said you might be able to get one of those surf anywhere things to plug into it like you can get with laptops etc, but not owning one i wouldn't know of that

It uses Wi-Fi to connect to the internet like they have in cafe's and Mac D's

My girlfriend has one really nice to use once you get use to them

To go a little deeper, they are really clever. Wherever you join a wifi spot (including your home, your friends etc) It automatically asks you for the wep key, then remembers it and automatically connects whenever you are in range. My iPhone does the same, which is really handy once youve set it up at loads of places (ie my old work, mums, dads, uncles, mates houses etc) as a lot of stuff like bbc iPlayer wants to be done over wifi and not GPRS/EDGE/3G, and there is no fannying around setting it up each time.

Yep Wifi There's really good apps I don't have the Ipod Touch but i have Iphone which is basically the same but obviously a phone aswell

am i right in thinking the touch DOES NOT have any kind of 3g, and will ONLY connect by wifi??

also, the touch is about half as fat as the iphone.

There is a 3G version, it's called an iPhone 3G

Yeah it's great isn't it. I even noticed that some pubs offer free wi-fi for o2 customers.
