Its not a case of me wanting to rid all my stuff, i still run these engines, im just putting it out there as alot of people will need shims in the coming weeks.

Still only one take, found ANOTHER 8 shims other day, coming out of my ears! I'll measure and update in due time, they look very thin.

Hi mate.

I am after 7 shims. I have fitted new head to my gt and the clearances are out. I know the clearances now but I dont know what standard shim thickness is to add on if that makes a bit of sense

Well TBH mate your up **** creek then!

You need to know what size shims are in there before you can calculate what you need. pain in the arse i know, but so is life!

just to comnfirm and also an extra bump but their is no standard fiat shim size. the shims will vary from bucket to bucket the only way for you to calculate after you have your clearences is to measure the shims you already have in each bucket with a micrometer they may have size value underneath but i would do it with a micrometer to be sure.
