I know of a local evo 9 running 650bhp, and what an animal that is, 850 is just insane
TBF, the spoiler is part of a proper aero kit, like on the ND Evo etc etc, you need downforce when going 200 odd MPH
Worth noting that in Time Attack in the UK, there are hardly any long straights, maybe the main at Silverstone, they only tend to use the national circuits, not the GP layouts, its all about sticking on in the corner and daft acceleration.
Be interesting to see how fast one of these 700-800-900hp RCD Evos, RCM Impreza and the Norris evo lap say the Brands national circuit compared to a BTCC car, BTCC will be on full slick i think but still...

I have been on track with this very Evo, it was the year I broke the GT around Oulton Park. I remember it as if it were yesterday..... I'd gone down the Avenue straight, nothing behind me but empty track. Around Shell Oils hairpin, down into the chicane, still nothing behind me.. on exiting the chicane just as I was going over the brow, heard alot of noise, checked mirror again and the Evo was right up my chuff!! Moved over and it ripped past me like I was in reverse.
The only thing that came past me quicker was my dad's EP3
