Some ****ing advert for PSC you are.
Well I decided to take some pictures today of my GT to show you all it's current state and to enable the professional painters amongst you to give me some guidance on getting it sorted. I'm planning on preparing the car for painting myself and getting a friend of a friend (who is a professional painter) to spray the car once I've prepared it.
As you can see it needs a lot of work. As I'm sticking with Broom yellow this time round I think I'm right in thinking that I do not need to primer the entire car. Instead I need to flat the yellow areas and only use primer on the repaired areas. Also, on the areas that go back to bare metal (the windscreen edge for example once the rust is removed) I need to use etch primer before applying normal grey primer.
So there we have it. Any tips and advice on preparing the car for paint are greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Give it a wash first.
When i worked in a body shop when i left skool they used to DA the whole thing so the paint was flat. Then fill evry thing with bodge. they also used to spray a lite coat like dust over the bits they had primered then rub it back down so it high lights where needs filled. if thats any help to you
1 scrap that car
2 buy a different one
Why scrap it? Nothing wrong with it except the paint.
