Ive never ever seen nor heard of a GT head crack in a way it leaked oil. They crack between the valves yes, if your unlucky or have driven the hell out of it then you might crack it from a valve seat into the water jacket.

Leaking oil is your head gasket or something else or most like a valve stem seal.

whys the block ****ed?

I just ask because you keep saying your're on a budget as your buying a house or something so trying to help from here, you're very brash though and probably no need for an entire engine especially not for the sake of a RR run.

all i done was fit a new headgasket i done every thing by the book?
it wouldnt start first of all so i cleaned the plugs up and it started, it sounded sweet but smoke still came out the dipstick, so turned it off, went to start it again and nuffing looked at the oilcap and it looked like milk...the engine has done 100,00 miles and has 100& had the **** kicked out of it so that why iv got a better block .as for the head i couldnt see any carack and dean didnt see any so good knows how this crack came after runing the car for 2minutes the carack from a valve seat into the water jacket so iv picked a block and head up two day off shorty out of his car that he smashed up so im hopeing this one is all good he said it has 130 across all 4pistons so ill find out as soon as i get it in

if you had of read my post properly dan you would of seen that i only just got the head and put it on and started the car, i didnt even drive it?

i was generalising stewie dont have a baby 100 prob closer to the mark, it rarely sees 120.

is very odd how nobody spotted the crack but them big ones dont just appear

well as it goes i was doing 120 so fcuk knows how fast you was going......as for the crack i really dont know was fine when we looked at it, put it on started it and for 2min and then there was a crack fcuk knows
