Just bite the bullet and import an FD2. You've already said this was your first choice car, but for the exchange rates... there's some in the UK already, just shop around, can get a 57 plate for £17k - much better car than anything available on the UK hatch market at present.
LOL might o guessed ud say that debo, I have enquired at local ford dealer about a new focus rs, so shall see how it goes with that, its the second production run of them the first sold out ages ago with delivery of the first of them due next week to their owners
