Thread: OSX on a HP laptop? Surely not!

    I have a DVD that installs it, but it's not as simple as just clicking next next next like Windows. You need to select the right options for your hardware and it's a lot of trial and error.

    lol did this about a year ago lol

    you need a "hacked" build of OS X and can even be run on AMD CPUs so it's not really an Intel thing......

    i did it because i needed to use mac software....... and even thought it is "illegal"

    apple made over £1000 from me because i "tried b4 i bought"

    runns very fast also

    Well I did say it wouldn't be new to some people

    I've known about it for a while just never been in a position to try it before.

    you'll get the osx bug now..... next it will be a real mac...... install ilife and make a photobook...... great mate

    **** buying a real Mac, too expensive. Only reason I don't have one now. I've liked Macs for years, I used to use them in one of my first IT jobs.

    are you dual booting with windows? might be something to try because i'm also against the costs of most apple producs! (though i do have an ipod)

    Have you tried Ubuntu?...thats a great windows alternative, got it running on a virtual pc at the minute, but i think it'll be going on my lappy real soon.
