Ok so i just bought an iphone classic second hand for £90, yes that's right £90 in near mint coniditon
very pleased with it except for one thing. Its unlocked and still on version 1.1.4 and as far as i know you cant update to 2.0 or it'll brick the phone. Is there anyway of getting round this as i wouldnt mind having 2.0 or 2.0.2 firmware on it?

no unlock has been released for 2.0 yet, just jailbreak.

are you using it on o2? if so, why do you need it unlocked / jailbroken? i have iPhone 3g and its on o2 contract, and i feel no need to have it jailbroken
I imagine he didnt want to get bum raped by going onto the o2 tariffs with the iphone. So has bought a 2g iphone, as to be fair, there aint a massive difference in speed IMO. So he wants to unlock it so he can use it with his other network sim card, but also jailbreak it for installer and get access to MMS etc.
