Had enough of the Cunto and want something cheap(ish) but still have a bit of fun, anyone owned one of these?
The S2 is the facelift model and I really like the look of them and can pick one up for under £2K or would I be better off going for the 16V GTi as i think all the Rallyes are 8V?

The s2 not the 1.6 8V? Only 90hp be better just getting the GTI.

one is 1.6 8v and one is 1.3 16v im sure of that
my mate has the S2 rallye, it has the 1.6 8v engine, same as a saxo vtr
and i gotta add, for the power output of them, they are bloody quick!!

That is correct...i always thought that the S2 (1.6 8V) would be slow but only weighing in at i think 800kg they go like stink and you still get good mpg...you could always get one and put some throttle bodies on it should go like a beast then.Originally Posted by Nod
All Rallyes were 8 valves.
S1 came with 1.3 8 valve then later ones had a 1.6 8 valve but are rare.
Then came the S2 with a 1.6 8 valve.
s2 with gti engine in FTW!
