    2 ways radios

Was looking at buying these for the trip to the ring

    http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Produc...+WAY+RADIO.htm

But they are out of stock.

If i buy 2 sets of these

    http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Produc...+WAY+RADIO.htm

Would we all be able to talk to each other like the first choice?

Bit confused when it comes to these

    Thanks

Yep. They all conform to the PMR446 standard. If you have a little more cash however, invest in a decent pair from a firm called Entel, the PMR446 range is called the EuroWave and pretty much are the best "budget" model to get. I use budget loosely as they cost around £50 - £60 each, but work with the furthest range.

Yeah dont buy cheaper stuff, they dont work over more then a few hundred feet when your on the move and your constantly having to switch channels.

If i was to buy some more id splash some cash, although when me and the boys did Europe we did it without walkie talkies and only maps, no satnav or anything

Buy a decent set then ebay them after the trip, or ebay a set now?

Yeah good idea above, trust Dan it'll be a waste of money if you buy cheap ones, especially in Germany when if your 2-300metres further up the road, you could be 50-100metres higher up the hill too, and behind some massive pines!

    I use the MOTOROLA EM1000R (20 miles)

Pick up a cheap set on e-gay and your sell them on in no time atall if you wish to get some money back !
