Using lg Viewty to get net on lap top?

I get free internet on my Viewty and i was wondering if it were possible to use the phone as a yay to get the internet on my lap top? It would make viewin pages and typin so much easier.
It's probably wishful thinkin but thought i'd ask.

im pretty sure you could do it, when i plug my phone up to the pc to transfer pics and stuff it always shows a message saying usb modem connected.

it would just be a case of setting it up somehwere in the connection settings. and it probably wouldnt be free to use.

It should be possible, apparently 02 can tell the difference though (somehow) between phone browsing and using the phone as a modem, so I'd dig about on the net and check if you can get away with it on your network.

I know it's in most Networks small print that using your phone as a modem, or P2P sharing etc aren't allowed though.

"my friend" tried this, but didn't have any luck, so "my friend" took the laptop for a walk around the house looking for wireless networks, luckly there's a foster home close with a unsecure default network which "he" can just click on and use now.

maybe u could try the same, not that i would recommend it as i'm sure it's not legal, lol.
