    Halfords colour match?

    Really not impressed
Spend £10.99 on a 300ml can which doesn't even match

I searched and searched the forum to make sure my car was infact imola blue and came across many of Ad's posts saying it was.

But even in the colour chart in halfords it looked different, looks different when its wet, and when its dried and lacquered

i prepped / sanded everything properly. so it won't be that either
    Here's the centre console sprayed

    and here's my car

Compare that to the colour around the door

looks nothing like it, the centre console looks more turquoise.

Unfortunately Halfords seem unable to mix paint to the colour you require. Best off going to a proper supplier and getting some mixed there.

Halfords paint mixing is as accurate or as inaccurate as the person doing the mixing can be bothered to make it.

I never had any problems mixing paint that at leaset looked about right, mainly because if you put too much of something in, it was possible to work out how much more of everything else would be needed to compensate, and a lot of people couldn't be bothered.

Just make sure you pick someone who looks like they've got half a brain cell and it shouldn't be too hard

It's hard to test paint though, always looks different when its wet
and it is similar, so i figured when it was dry and lacquered it'd look alright.

my mate mixed it up for me, i saw him doing it, he used the right amounts of everything

Best off going to a paint shop and ordering a bit in. As the paints still very new, i would imagine it will match better then faded old paint. Ill dig out the paint code no.

oh and btw still waiting on red key and books, will chase again buddy
