Nice one mate. Love the HGT's. How come it's not on the road?
its a bit of a dog, runs n drives but leaving it off until it gets sorted, needs the variator thing doing atleast.
quick question: says somewhere on here that the cambelt needs to be replaced if removed, and that it has to be removed to do the cam variator. is this all true?

The Variator going on these is very common. Really noisy and rough sounding? Like a diesel almost?
To answer your question, the belt DOES need to be taken off to replace the variator and YES definately replace the belt while your at it.
is it a necessity? how much will a cambelt set me back?
A lot less than if it snaps mate
