    Thoughts on 206 Gti's?

MOT's coming up for the Punto so i think it's time to get rid of it because last year it came to about 600 quid to get it through.

So looking into the 206gti's. What's your lots opinion on them? Think theres the 137hp and 180hp versions but to be honest im not really fussed about how fast it can go,just needs to be nippy, more bothered about reliabilty, also want one with leather seats and air con.

How much should I expect to pay for one?

nt too sure how much you would have to pay but i reall like these cars! when i was learning to drive i seen one that was awesome, standard, big wheels, slight meshage and it was the 180 with leather inside! it was lush and £7000, that was about a year ago now!

lol think im having second thoughts my best quote for the 180 hp one was £2600! and the 137HP one was £1700. Think i might steer towards a 106 gti got a quote for £1250. Going to try and find one completely standard though maybe lowered.

Either car 106/206 GTI are great cars, ive currently got the 106 GTI as has Gaz0_0 and I love it far out handles a lowered Punto GT even in standard set up!
Il prob move onto a 206 GTI at some point this year aswell.
    Good luck.

nice little car, my old man has a standard 206 gti and it was pretty much on a par with a seb 2 GT performance wise. handling was obviously better than the punto and the interior is very smart half leather. The AC in this car is awesome too, best in a car i have seen.

i think he wants to sell it soon and i was thinking probably putting it up for around £2k, its a V reg around 90k miles but it has a dent in a rear quarter panel and a scrape along one of the side sills. full service history from peugeot and only the one owner from new.

its not yet for sale btw, just wanted to give you an idea of price.

Get a 106 GTi instead, a better car in every sense.

That conversion is poo. The engine is way too big and heavy and the sump is about 0.00000001mm off the floor.

Mi16 Throttle bodied lump is the way to go. A mate had one of these and it was an awesome motor.
