Exhaust wrap fitted, now a question

Right its been fitted for 2 days, and today has been the first time it has had some hard driving, after about 10 15mins i pulled over to check on the wrap, it smelt really funky and was smoking all the way down the pipes, except the boxes on the exhaust. It quickly stopped after returning to normal driving. Now the whole of the underneath was undersealed a few weeks ago and some of which has got onto the pipes so this may be affecting the smoking?

My question is, is it smoking due to it being new? and would the exhaust get hot enough to ignite the exhaust wrap? Exhaust wrap says capable of 600 deg C

Whats everyone elses experiences on this?

Yeh, we shat ourselves. It was really bad. Still does it a little bit at the minute even after 600 miles but we did wrap it proper good.
