Next time you see him take him to your car and show him the damage that he has caused because of his stupidity and tell him what is going to be done.
To be honest though I would have sorted it out when you asked him 1st, saying that you will get quotes and get back to him and have something off him in writing saying that he is admitting that he had done it.

but yeah, i didnt see him when it happend. it was in the morning before i had got up that he hit it, he drove off, and then my mate went over later on in the day.
But yeah, i'm just gona go see what tha garages think really, i'll ask about getting the stuff from a scrappy, and see if it would alter the price.

i wouldnt have thort that the damage its self is enough for a write off, as its not structual...i think...
but if the cost of the repair cost more then the car then it would be written off by the insurance if i were to continue with the claim
Thats what I meant, body shop costs for stuff like this across panels could cost more than its worth.
oh right, yeah it could, which is really anoying, as if the guy decides he cant afford to pay and it goes through his insurance, i could get faced with either not getting it fixed or getting it scrapped. niether of which are on my top ten list of things to get done to the car
look at it this way - if he cant pay 800 odd quid for new parts hel want to go through insurance meaning write off.
If you get a second hand door from a scrappy its going to cost alot less then it would brand new from fiat etc same with the wing - then you just have to put them on and get them sprayed.. this way hel be happy to pay less and youl be happy without a written off car!

yeah, i mean i'll look into getting a second hand door and wing. I would charge him for that as well. How much do ppl recon that fitting and repraying the door and wing would cost??
couldnt tell ya a price but i reckon it wouldnt be too hard to fit them yourself and just pay for spraying..
email the guy in Beau's link see if hes still got wing and door atleast its the same colour.
