I work in the ICT dept for a Local Council, and administrate the Exchange server for the building (i.e email accounts) and also our web and email filters.....and believe me never underestimate how much you are being watched.
As long as your not doing anything obviously wrong you've no need to worry; if you do have concerns about things such as viewing PSC or online banking speak with your ICT dept and get a copy of their security policy.

Wasn't too sure how things worked with it really, mean In November I downloaded about 1GB in a day and nothing was said yet and ive spoke to one of the directors a few times since. The IT department at the company is shocking though I asked for a replacement Windows office and still never got it 3 months later also it seems i know more than them when speaking on the phone.
I was told one guy got sacked for downloading porn but they found it on his laptop when it went for an audit.
Thats why its best to be clued up on what you are and arent allowed to do on the network. We totally bar all downloading of anything onto our machines...
but your totally right theres enough people who work in ICT who dont know how to administer their network.....I bet your placedont even have a security policy do they?....depending on the number of employees they should have anyway.....just check it out an if they dont....crack on an download ya porn chief
