sorry lee but you cant defend the bikes on this one

600bhp car will out drag a bike without fail.

They clearly wernt on full throttle mate there 1000cc there not exactly slow, in a strait line the car would have no chance. There is no denying its fast but you can tell the bikes wernt giving it all.

Im not defending bikes as ill choose a car over them anyday

650-700 whp supra vs stock ZX10

The first 2 runs shows the bikes power vs weight advantage i dont know what happens in the 3rd.

If it was anthing smaller than a 1000cc then it may be a different story.

Do we know the power of the X19 ie non pub?

Even so; Supra 700whp weighs the same as killer whale; add one lardy septic and you'll be looking nearly 2000kg.

    X19 is about 850kg standard.

It would be fair to say that an X19 of 500hp would be like a supra with 1000hp.

I remember seeing a drag spec bike at Ten of the best a few years back and it only managed an 8 second quarter. 1000bhp skylines and supra's are doing 8 sec quarters now.

The biggest problem with powerful bikes is traction. They have a rubber footprint the width of a credit card - and most modern 1ltr sports bikes are putting near 180hp through it! Ok, so a drag bike has a fatter rear tyre, but the principal still applies... look how wide the rear tyres are on a car (even a standard one) as a comparison - there's a much larger footprint.
If you have any car care related questions, ask me in the Cleaning/Detailing section.
