sold my sporting today (yesterday now 19th), and found a jtd up for sale, ok, its as id describe 'crap' condition lol, but its alright for £1100 with a years mot and 6 months tax, got a new cd player/speakers too which i should get £60+ for. mechanicly it seems spot on though, just need to find a breaking orange sporting/hgt now tho.
it is so much nicer than my mk1, ride quality, handeling, etc etc just seems alot better, its meant to be a fair bit slower than my sporting too, but it feels quicker, i dont think it is, but it seems to have quite alot of pull through 2nd and 3rd gears.

well for a jtd with 12 months mot with 85k which is quite low for a jtd, most have clocked up 120k at least, i think £1100 is alright, it does need work but the jtd is rare, and dont come up for sale often, and i reckon il get that rear panel sorted quite cheaply, cos its on bottom corner they should be able to blend the paint in and not repaint the whole panel.Originally Posted by Jonsey89

Like i told you ages ago Boses, Diesals will feel quick upto 3.5-4k rpm in the lower gears because of the torque. Looks OK, bar the rear quarter messery, i bet 1100 is a good price IMO.
once remapped it should really fly, its got 80bhp at the moment, they get 130ish after remapand torque is raised similar amount too
it is quite a bit of a shed, but so was my sporting tbh, it just didnt show in the pics.

why?its only £40 more, not bad for a much nicer car, and will soon be alot quicker than my sporting was.
