    0-100 mph 5 secs
    top speed 200mph

    enough?

based on the caparo T1, so a 3.5l V8, circa 700bhp (200bhp/litre) 500kilos (without the obligatory stash of donuts)

Stuff the Vectra estates we need a couple of these buggers on the beat.

On a semi-related note I've always wondered whether anyone has ever tried building a purpose-built police car... the various interested police forces around the world could communicate with the manufacturer and agree on what facilities, technology and performance specs they need from the car, which would result in a vehicle designed from the ground up to be the ideal police vehicle, probably superior to any of the (sort of jerry-rigged) cars that are on patrol around the world now.
